Mandioca is the 4th most produced food in the world, and the most produced food in the tropical regions. In the north-east of Brazil 70% of daily calory intake is comprised of mandioca. The main secondary product produced from Mandioca is known as tapioca flour. This flour then has a variety of uses, one of which is pancake-like snack that can be filled with anything imaginable.  Now this exotic dish can be found in Toronto.  Enjoy it this summer in a fun atmosphere of local farmer's markets.

Our Tapioca !!

Our Product: We offer tapioca pancakes that are a typical market food from Brazil.  The pancakes have a very unique texture and look and they can be filled with a variety of ingredients. This food is gluten-free and is cooked without use of any oil (simply a hot pan). Filling combinations may include ingredients like eggs, cheese, tomatoes, asparagus, spinach, kale, green onions and basically any seasonal vegetables as well as any kind of meat.  Sweet fillings may include jams, chocolate and seasonal berries and fruits. Our food is unique in that we are bringing a bit of our home culture of Brazil to the market. We are excited to bring the fusion of fresh local ingredients with an exotic twist. The tapioca pancakes are quick and easy to prepare; in about 3 minutes they will be made fresh on the spot.

Tapioca pancakes are coming to Toronto this summer 2014.  Find our stand at Dufferin Grove Farmers' Market on Thursdays from 3-7PM and AppleTree Davisville Farmer's Market on Tuesdays from 3-7PM  The farmers markets move outdoors in mid-May. See you all there!
